From supporting bicultural identity to navigating intergenerational expectations, we hold space for healing that respects cultural roots and redefines healthy connection. Services can be provided in English or Spanish, integrating cultural sensitivity with trauma-informed care.
Trauma Recovery in Families
When one member of a family experiences trauma, it can impact the whole system. Our trauma-informed family therapy creates a space where safety and healing come first. We help families understand trauma responses, build emotional regulation skills, and shift harmful cycles that may have developed in survival mode. Together, we foster resilience and healthier patterns of support.
Blended Families
Blending families is beautiful—and complex. We help stepparents, biological parents, and children adjust to new roles and build connection while honoring each person’s story. Through open communication and co-created boundaries, we support families in developing trust, navigating loyalty conflicts, and cultivating a sense of belonging.
Co-Parenting After Separation

Diagnostic Psychiatric Evaluation
A diagnostic evaluation is the first step in understanding what you or your child may be experiencing. We conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to identify mental health conditions, emotional struggles, or behavioral concerns—whether related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or other complex presentations.
Our evaluations go beyond checklists. We consider developmental history, family dynamics, school or legal context, cultural background, and lived experience to provide an accurate and compassionate understanding of your needs. You’ll receive clear feedback, a written summary (if requested), and personalized recommendations for therapy, school accommodations (504/IEP), or next steps.
We specialize in evaluations for:
Children, teens, and young adults
Academic and behavioral challenges
Trauma-related symptoms
School-based planning and disability accommodations

Whether you're seeking clarity for personal growth, school supports, or court-related needs, we’re here to provide insight and support with care and clinical integrity.

School Based Advocacy
As both a clinical therapist and a seasoned school-based mental health coordinator and program specialist with over 14 years of experience, I specialize in bridging the gap between clinical care and educational systems. I offer therapy services that extend beyond the office—by collaborating with your child’s school to become an active member of their support team.
Whether your child is:
In general education and could benefit from occasional check-ins
In need of more structured supports like a 504 Plan or IEP assessment
Already on an individualized plan but struggling emotionally or behaviorally
…I can help you understand the full continuum of school-based services, from classroom interventions (like push-in/pull-out counseling) to more intensive supports including non-public placements and residential care and everything in between.
Not every student needs the highest level of intervention—and in some cases, over-supporting can create more harm than help. My goal is to assess what level of support would truly benefit your child, and to guide you in advocating for the right services at the right time.
Let’s work together to ensure your child feels seen, supported, and set up to thrive—academically and emotionally.

Educational Related Mental Health Assessments
ERMHS provides therapeutic support for students whose emotional and behavioral challenges are significantly impacting their ability to access learning—even with an IEP in place. These services are designed to help students thrive not just academically, but emotionally and socially, within the school environment.
We provide ERMHS assessments and direct services that are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with school-based goals. Services may include individual counseling, consultation with school teams, collaboration on behavior intervention plans, and parent guidance.
Who benefits from ERMHS?
Students with IEPs who continue to struggle emotionally or behaviorally despite current supports
Youth experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, or social withdrawal
Children with difficulty regulating emotions or sustaining attention in class
Students exhibiting school refusal, peer conflict, or emotional dysregulation that interferes with learning
Why seek an ERMHS evaluation or service?
If your child has an IEP but is still unable to meaningfully benefit from their education due to mental health concerns, ERMHS can provide the missing layer of emotional support. It connects school teams with licensed mental health professionals to create interventions that address both the academic and emotional needs of the student.Whether you’re a parent seeking stronger advocacy, a school team needing clinical support, or an advocate for equitable services, ERMHS bridges the gap between mental health and academic success.
