Feelings Wheel
One of the most frequently used tools in my therapy practice, the Feelings Wheel helps clients build emotional awareness, expand emotional vocabulary, and improve communication. Many clients tell me this becomes one of their favorite resources—saving it to their phones and referring back to it during difficult conversations, stressful situations, journaling, and moments of self-reflection.
By helping us identify and name emotions more accurately, the Feelings Wheel supports emotional intelligence, emotional regulation, and stronger relationships. This tool is commonly incorporated into evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based interventions, and trauma-informed treatment.
